Chair teaches the fundamentals of Upside-Down Pilates and introduces the Pilates chair based exercises. We will explore the use of breath, spinal articulation, pelvic and shoulder stability and mobility, head and cervical spine alignment, as well as focus and control through chair based exercises. The chair is a piece of equipment Joseph Pilates created based on the box Chinese acrobats used. He hoped one day this piece of equipment would be in the home of every American.
